André van Eeden
André van Eeden has an ambitious entrepreneurial spirit and is particularly fond of the property industry. He constantly endeavors to increase involvement within the community.
He Matriculated in 1984 at Brackenfell High School. He is a sportsman of note, WP Cross country athlete and holder of a 1 500m Inter School record for an impressive 26 years.
In 1987 he obtained his B.Comm. Law degree at Stellenbosch University, in 1991 he got his B.Proc. degree through Unisa and in 1994 his LL.B. degree. He has extensive knowledge and experience in Criminal and Civil litigation and is admitted to appear in the High Court. He is a Trustee and Curator Bonis, in numerous matters, as appointed by the Master of the High Court.
He is a winner in everything he does, so he enjoys anything that is a challenge and has a trophy at the end, so watch out… he will give anyone a go.
His strong leadership traits are taking VvE forwards in leaps and bounds, we are proud to have him on the top of our hierarchy. |

Botha Pretorius
When Botha Pretorius obtained his B.Comm degree in Law at the University of Stellenbosch, he completed his LL.B. at the University of South Africa (UNISA).
Botha was admitted as an Attorney on the 5th of August 2005 and started practicing as such in the Northern Suburbs where he started working in our Conveyancing Department. He is now working in our Litigation Department.
Botha had achieved Provincial Colours in Cricket in his school days.
He has a keen interest in the property industry and is also a keen golfer with a single digit handicap.

Carla van Niekerk
Carla van Niekerk matriculated from Tygerberg High in 2001. In 2002 she started with the 5 year B.A., LL.B. course at Stellenbosch University, obtaining her degree in 2006. During this time she participated in numerous events, which included squash, ladies touch rugby and doing volunteer work at Matie Community Service. This must have been where she developed a love for working with people.
Carla particularly loves the outdoors and has done river rafting on the Orange River and also completed a few hiking trails. Another favourite pastime of hers is jogging. She has finished a few half marathons, not in any record times, but the experience there of will always stay with her.

Dalene Olivier
Dalene Olivier obtained her B.Iuris, LL.B. and BA. Hons. (Latin) (cum laude) degrees from the University of the Orange Free State. She was admitted as Attorney in the Supreme Court of the Orange Free State in 1994 and as Conveyancer in the Supreme Court of the Northern Cape in 1995.
Dalene also has right of appearance in the Northern Cape and Cape of Good Hope Divisions of the Supreme Court.
Motivated by her commitment to outstanding professional service as well as a great interest in people and communications.
She naturally gravitated towards the people-orientated milieu of conveyancing, where she now specialises in the registration of bonds on behalf of all the major banks in South Africa.
As an achiever and never one to shy away from any challenge (she loves extreme sports, i.e. white water rafting, bridge swinging and raising a young boy as a single mother!).
She feels that she has found her niche in the exciting, fast paced world of the property industry.

Dave Rix
Dave Rix began studies and "Articles" simultaneously in 2003 to build on a legal background derived from when he was a Detective Inspector in the Commercial Branch of the SA Police Service.
He was admitted as an attorney on 7th December 2007. In the same year he also obtained the LSSA's Practice Management Certificate. He also has A+ and N+ IT certifications and over-sees our computer network.
Dave does some civil work, but specialises in personal injury claims and medical law.
He enjoys a good challenge... in 2000 he was on a 24 Man Tricycle team that raised money for CANSA and completed the Argus Cycle Tour on the world's largest tricycle! In 2005 he climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro with a charity expedition organised by his brother Mark and the Manchester Evening News in England. They raised money for the Kirsty Appeal which went towards a children's hospice in Manchester.
Dave enjoys Martial Arts as well as writing, reading and listening to music. He is still planning on swimming from Bloubergstrand to Robben Island and crossing the English Channel in a canoe, so give him some support or sponsors…

Lindi Schoonees
Lindi Schoonees graduated with a LL.B. degree in December 2002 at the University of Stellenbosch. She began with her career as a research assistant, junior lecturer and project co-odinator at the Law Faculty Stellenbosch.
Throughout that time she developed strong inter-personal communication, research and practical legal skills.
In 2005 she had the opportunity to start her articles in order for her to get admitted as an Attorney after completion of the required two year period. Lindi is an admitted Attorney, Conveyancer and Notary.
Lindi is the type of person who likes challenges and will, with great enthusiasm and perseverance, make use of any opportunity. She regards herself as an extremely privileged person to be part of the VvE team, to learn from others and to grow to her full potential as a Conveyancer.
On a more personal level: Lindi is married to her wonderful husband, Siegfried. Together they enjoy doing any outdoor adventure activities and in particular mountain biking. She also enjoys being around family and friends.

Liza Venter
Liza joined us in the middle of last year.
She obtained her BA.LL.B. from Stellenbosch University and specialises in RAF and Third Party injury claims. |

Niel de Villiers
Niel de Villiers obtained his B.Proc. degree at the University of the Free State, after which he moved to Cape Town to do his articles. He was admitted as an Attorney in 2002 and started practicing as such in the Northern Suburbs where he was exposed to various fields of law.
Niel developed a keen interest in property related issues and decided to specialise in conveyancing. He was admitted as a Conveyancer in 2003 and has been actively involved in this area of law ever since.
Niel places emphasis on the delivery of excellent service to his clients and believes that it is necessary in order to establish long-term relationships with those clients.
Recently Niel has also focused on the area of Labour Law since it is very relevant to most of the greater society's everyday life and affects most. He is currently busy with his Master's Degree in Labour Law.
He also believes in having a well-balanced life and is still involved with sport and loves playing guitar. We are proud to have in our firm our own Springbok and watch out, he is a Black Belt. Any one for lessons…
